Beach weddings are really versatile for making your mark. They're outdoors - obviously! - and so there are often fewer decoration restrictions than when you have your celebrations in a more confined space.
After a glorious few days in the springtime sun, we might not quite be in Cyprus, but it's got us thinking about being coastal and all the wonderful things you could do with a beach side wedding.
1. Sparklers
There are so many reasons to have sparklers st your wedding! They're fun for the guests, make for incredible wedding photographs and they can even double up as wedding favours. Most importantly, though, they are just that something that makes your wedding really sparkle.
2. Tea Lights & Candles
Candlelight on a wedding evening can't be beaten, it really can't! There is something so beautiful about flickering flames and it easily makes an evening feel like something really special; spot on for a wedding! Tea lights are a popular choice being inexpensive to buy and display. Thicker candles will last for longer and can be bought at different heights and thicknesses. If you aren't allowed an open flame then there are battery equivalents of both off these. Place them on the aisle, or as centrepieces or just dotted about the parameter - they'll look pretty anywhere.
3. Fairy Lights
Even a set of 20 battery lights can create a whimsical, magical atmosphere. Think about your venue and where you might be able to drape or hang some fairy lights and you won't regret it!
4. Fireworks
Fireworks are an extravagance but they will be the climax of your day in the most celebratory way possible. If a full display is too much, a lot of couples now have one rocket that gets sent up to mark the end of their big day.
5. Sky Lanterns
This is a lovely tradition deriving from Asia where paper lanterns are released to mark and as part of different festivities. You can now buy them in large quantities and varying sizes and they really do make for a magical end to wedding celebrations. Again, this is a great way of involving the wedding guests and a way of them wishing the married couple well instead of a guest book or similar. At a beach setting you should have less restrictions when you can let the lanterns off than in a more built up area.
So those are our favourite ideas to make your wedding sparkle. What are you thinking for your big day? We'd love to hear your ideas!
