Sometimes, we simply need a bit of inspiration. Buttonholes can sometimes get overshadowed by the bouquet and overlooked by one half of the couple but they're actually really fun wedding elements to plan and think about, especially because the variety is just to die for.

Buttonholes can be as flamboyant or as subtle as you like. This goes side by side with the price; if you’re fairly crafty you can make them yourself, but if you want something quite show stopper’y then it’s best to get the help of a florist It really depends on what you want for your big day in terms of quantity; some grooms alone have a button hole – usually along with the best man – and some weddings see the whole of the male wedding party from groom down to page boys sporting a flower of some sorts on their lapel. It really is up to you.

The main things to remember, really, would be the time of year you are getting married – ie whether the buttonhole will wilt during the day or if certain flowers are more expensive due to seasonality – and how much of a part in your day they want to play. Anyway, enough chat (!) have a browse of our favourite 9, although that probably won’t make your decision any easier!
