Did you see Fearne Cotton’s wedding cake a couple of years ago? She posted a picture of it on social media and brides around the UK exhaled with wedding cake lust! It was covered in colourful flowers all over its five tiers and looked too good to eat.

It wasn't really the size, it was the colour that was captivating. Traditionally white, wedding cakes can sometimes be lost in the modern wedding routine and in our usual approach of deconstructing the traditions and rewriting your own special day we say, why shouldn’t it be multi-coloured?!

So, today, we’re taking you through beautiful and bright wedding choices. How to inject some colour into your big day in either subtle or more outlandish forms. How ever you do it though, colour is fun, alluring and perfect for this time of year.

  • Flowers are the perfect way to include colour into your wedding. Whether it's the flowers on your tables, displayed in your ceremony or in your bouquet, its so fun pairing flower types AND colours together to create your perfect look.
  • Like Fearne, you could opt for a colourful wedding cake. With this choice you could keep the rest of your wedding colours quite suble and have the cake as the real wow centerpiece.
  • Colour accents such as on invitations or chair covers would also create the desired affect. Again, it is completely up to you whether you go all colour or just a hint.

Goodness me these colours are so gorgeous, aren't they? You needn't worry about sun on your wedding day when you have some of these shades! Let us know which colours are your favourites!
